This is my first background painting back when I was studying at Catun Studio. The theme is an isolated Viking Village. The village has North-European traditional houses and little hints of its inhabitants.
I took a role of a hiker embarking through the forest to discover a secret village sit by the lake of shiny water.
Since it was my first, I meticulously drafted the house structure by hand to make sure that I got the details right on spot. After several adjustments, I realized that some of them was too detailed and that I have to cut back some little things to get the vibe right.
